Full Super Blood Moon In Leo January 2019

On January 21st we will enter a Full Moon phase in the zodiac sign of Leo. This month’s Full Moon is especially significant as it coincides a full lunar eclipse. Also, due to the proximity of the earth to the moon during this moon phase, the moon will appear red in color-a blood moon. Other aspects to this moon, including Uranus, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, will give this moon a powerful punch.

Full Moons are about culminations and reaping the fruits of our labor. With the eclipse happening alongside this moon phase, there will be a focus on intimate relationships and partnerships. You may feel more emotional and sentimental than normal. It may seem like there is no reason to be sad, yet you feel a touch of the blues. Also, eclipses are known for removing people, places, and things out of our lives. Typically this change is sudden and without warning. Sometimes connections that are waning fully fall away during an eclipse. Conflict can arise that will lead to a dissolution of a connection as well.

Leo represents the individual. Leo is a leader and charismatic. He is represented by the lion in the zodiac and has a persistent spirit. Leo enjoys the limelight and tends to stand out. Leo can be a bit jealous and possessive and have a defined sense of self. Leos are the most egoic of the zodiac.

The sun will have just entered the opposite sign of Leo, Aquarius, when the Full Moon phase begins. Aquarius is about the collective, about society. Aquarius is more focused on groups and social connections. Aquarius also tends to be a bit rebellious and is about testing the established norm.

There will be a focus on your role as an individual and how your individual role adds to the collective and your greater purpose this moon. Uranus’ aspect will play on this polarity that Leo and Aquarius will create. Uranus will beg the question-Who are you? It’s time to take off your mask. There will be a focus on self authenticity and living within your truth, and what is in alignment with your values. If you have been living in disalignment with who you are, those things will likely fall away or be highlighted. People that are no longer in alignment with you, could likely fall away.

Now with Mercury being in the mix, communication will be a focus. There will be a focus on interrelatedness and how you communicate with those around you. Are you deepening your bonds or pushing people away with your relationship style?

You may also be focused on home and what home means to you. This can be who, what, where feels like home. You may want to re-decorate or pick up and move. With Venus hanging around there will be focus on aesthetic as well when it comes to the home.

During this period, Jupiter and Venus will be meeting in the sky. This is an incredibly fertile time. If you are trying to conceive, this could be the lucky month. If you are not wanting to conceive, you may want to be extra careful. This can also be a keen time for romance. This may be a good time to get out there and mingle if you’re single. If partnered, you may feel a deepening bond.

The blood moon will be most visible in North America and parts of Western Europe and Africa. The energy around the moon will start Friday the 18th and probably peek on Tuesday the 22nd. People can act strangely during eclipses. There can be an intensity among people and people may be extra sensitive. Be mindful of your interactions and not to take things too seriously.

New Moon Circle

Today is the New Moon.
A time to set intentions.
So that you may shift in ways beyond your wildest dreams.

My dear, you have made it. This feeling. You are standing on the top of this mountain. The mountain of 2018. You’ve made it to the top.

Take a look behind you and see all that you’ve accomplished. Each ounce of pain. Each ounce of space you dipped out of your comfort zone has prepared you for this moment right now.

This moment of freedom.
Release any attachments of anything that still holds you back.
You are free.
You are free Now.

What do you want in your life Now?

Release the energy of 2018.
You are stronger now.
You are free.

Last year, you had to do less. You had to release people from your life who weren’t serving your purpose. You had to do that even though it broke your heart. Even though you felt that pain so deeply in your heart space. It was preparing you for now.

You had to clear that all out so that you could see just how much these people and things wouldn’t fit in your life now.

This past Saturday we attended a New Moon Circle celebrating the New Moon in Capricorn and partial Solar Eclipse. The event was hosted by Amanda Jay of Sacred Moon Spoon and Jodi Doidge. Amanda is a Tarot Reader, Astrologer, Reiki Master, and Reflexologist-using these methodologies to assist in healing and wellness. Jodi is a singer/songwriter and lightworker. The event took place at Maeva Movement in East Nashville.

It was a beautiful evening of fellowship and spiritual connectedness. The circle opened with the above channeled message. It was a wonderful way to set the intention for our time together. After the reading of the message, everyone took turns around the room introducing themselves and sharing their stories of how they came to be at the New Moon Circle. We then listened to a talk about the significance of the moon phases and the moon’s significance for women and feminine essence and being. The hosts gave us time to write our intentions for this moon phase- what we wanted for this month, this year and what we want to welcome into our lives. The circle was closed with a salt fire practice where salt is set on fire. This practice cleanses the energy space and releases our intentions to the divine.

The energy of the meeting was welcoming and safe. It was heart warming to encounter so much openness and vulnerability among a group of mostly strangers. Many told stories of addiction, of abuse, and struggles of pain. Others discussed a troubling 2018 and hoping for a new beginning of 2019. Many simply want to deepen their spiritual practice. We made new friends and connections. There was a definite sense of community. We definitely plan on attending further Moon Circles.

A Full Moon Circle is scheduled for January 20, 2019 from 7-9PM at Maeva Movement in East Nashville. This is a great event if you would like to expand your existing moon phase practice, want to learn more, find community to celebrate these phases, or to simply connect with likeminded souls.

Today we enter a New Moon phase in the zodiac sign of Capricorn. This phase is especially significant in that it proceeds a partial solar eclipse on January 6th.

Remember the powerful moons and eclipses of summer 2018? The energy of this moon will hold the same level of intensity. There will be other aspects to this moon that will affect this energy as well. This moon is expected to pack a punch.

The zodiac sign of Capricorn is practical and grounded. She has little need for the frivolous. She is a hard worker who is ambitious and likes order. Capricorn is a loyal friend and partner. She is funny and practical with a love for art and music, but can be a little bit of a know-it-all and set in their ways. She is ruled by Saturn, which tends to make them very focused and attracted to order.

New Moons are a time to plant seeds and begin something new. With the Capricorn energy’s influence, you may have the grounded hard working energy needed to get something off the ground. Be careful to not get too bogged down in perfection or knowing everything that could possibly happen.

Eclipses are know for taking things out of our lives and bringing newness and opportunities in. It is the most powerful aspect in astrology- where the Sun conjuncts the Moon. Another aspect to this moon is to the fixed star Vega. It is the brightest star in the northern sky. Vega is often associated with ego and can make people more kind and peaceful. Vegas loves the arts as well. Vega also can cause people to be overtly sexual or pretentious. Its conjunction with the sun and moon can also bring about a disingenuous energy, hence its association with ego.

Saturn, who rules Capricorn, will have a strong influence bringing about a serious and critical overtone. Saturn is about discipline and responsibilities. This influence can definitely help with any new endeavors to give you the discipline needed to buckle down. Remember to not take anything too seriously, however.

Neptune will also be around this moon. He will enhance spiritual focus, heighten intuition, and with the aspect to Vega, will help the artists and creatives in the room enhance and focus on their craft. Maybe you can make a little money doing that creative hobby? Pay attention to your dreams and prepare for heightened psychic abilities.
