On February 4, 2019 we will enter a New Moon phase in the zodiac sign of Aquarius. This moon follows the powerful Full Moon Lunar Eclipse that occurred at the end of January in Aquarius’ opposite sign, Leo.

Aquarius is an air sign. They tend to be a little rebellious and like to go against the accepted norm. She is very caring and humanitarian. Aquas also tend to be drawn to the mystical and esoteric. She likes attention and the spotlight, much like their opposite, Leo. She also can be bored easily and tends to be a little restless.

Leo is a sign about the individual. Aquarius is a sign about community, society, and the collective. There will be a focus on who we surround ourselves with, how we connect to others, what community looks like to us and how we can connect with our community.

There will also be an aspect to Mercury in this moon, who rules communication.  Communications will be another theme of this moon. You may want to consider your communication style and how this is hindering or assisting you towards your goals.

Mercury will have a sextile to Jupiter during this moon phase creating fertile ground for important conversations and positivity. It may feel easier to express yourself and have a sense of being understood. This may be a good time to speak out on a topic or issue that concerns you or ways to better your community.

Saturn will create a sextile to Neptune bringing a focus on hard work towards material gain and deepening spirituality.  This could be a time of a renewed mediation practice or starting one. Maybe you feel a pull towards joining a specific faith or life philosophy.

New Moons represent beginnings and planting new seeds. During this moon, it is a good time to enter new partnerships and begin a new phase of deepening budding connections. This moon phase may be a time you make important decisions about who you surround yourself with and whether those connections are in alignment with your future and values as an individual.
